The Itinerary: 

DAY 1: Cochin
Arrive Cochin Airport and transfer to hotel. Later proceed on the City tour of Cochin - Visit the Mattancherry Dutch Palace - (closed on Fridays and public holidays), which was built by the Portuguese in 1555 and renovated by the Dutch in 1663. Visit the Jewish Synagogue-(closed on all Saturdays and Jewish holidays) in Jew Town and Fort Cochin Area. Visit St. Francis Church - (closed for visitors on Sundays in the morning) the oldest European Church in India. It has several antiquities including a wealth of records. See the Chinese Fishing Nets, along the tip of Fort Cochin unique to this part of Kerala and living symbols of a centuries-old Chinese influence on this coast. In the evening enjoy the Kathakali dance and martial arts show. Overnight stay at the Cochin hotel.
DAY 2: Cochin to Munnar
Hotel check-out after breakfast and departure to Munnar situated at the confluence of three mountain streams, which is one of the most popular hill stations located in Idukki district. On arrival day free for leisure activities. Overnight stay in Munnar.
DAY 3: Munnar
After breakfast enjoy the serene views which Munnar offers owing to its famous tea plantations. Visit the Eravikulam National Park (Closed from 15 January to 15 March) to watch the rich flora and fauna and the famous endangered mountain goat. In the afternoon, visit the Echo Point, Mattupetty Dam and take a boat ride on the Lake. A trip to Munnar is incomplete without a visit to the Tea Museum (Closed on Monday). Overnight stay in Munnar.
DAY 4: Munnar to Periyar
In the morning after breakfast depart for Periyar famous for its Periyar lake and wild life sanctuary. Enjoy an Elephant ride and visit the spice market at Kumily where you can buy fresh spices. Overnight stay in Periyar.
DAY 5: Periyar to Kumarakom
Early morning enjoy a boat ride on Lake Periyar to view wild life and water birds. Herds of elephants and bison come to the lake to drink water. Later hotel checkout and depart for Kumarakom. On arrival enjoy a Sunset Cruise on the Vembanand lake, the largest freshwater lake. Overnight stay in Kumarakom
DAY 6: Kumarakom to Kovalam
In the morning view the multicoloured plethora of bird species at the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Later proceed to Kovalam to enjoy the sunset on the internationally renowned beach. Overnight stay in Kovalam.
DAY 7: Kovalam to Kanyakumari
Today after breakfast proceed for excursion of Kanyakumari - An inspiring spiritual joint of India & also meeting point of three major seas the Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal. On arrival take a boat ride to visit the Vivekananda Memorial rock and view the Statue of Thiruvalloor. Also visit the Gandhi Mandapam, temple of Goddess Kanyakumari and Wax Museum. Enroute to Kovalam visit the Padamanabhapuram Palace (Closed on Monday), Suchindram Temple one of the few temples in the country where the Trinity, Brahma, Vishnu and Ishvara, are worshipped. Overnight stay in Kovalam
DAY 8: Kovalam to Trivandrum
In the morning visit the Padmanabh Swamy Temple (only Hindus are permitted inside the temple), Raja Ravi Varma Art gallery and Napier Museum (Closed on Monday) complex, which reveals a glimpse of Kerala's rich cultural heritage. Later proceed to the airport/station for onward journey.
